1) Thinking its a get rich quick scheme: there are no shortcuts to success. It takes hard work, focus, and persistence to succeed!
2) Failing to attend trainings: Attending training sessions definitely help gain knowledge and brush up one’s skills!
3) Not believing in themselves: Self belief & confidence is the attitude to adopt!
4) Giving up too early: one needs to stay the course with self-belief even though it may take some time to succeed! One should always remember, winners never quit. And never stop dreaming of what you want to achieve!!
5) Not underestimating the potential of real estate industry: Real Estate is undoubtedly the biggest and the most reliable industry in the world. It has created more millionaires in the world than any other industry.
Study the market well and know your product! Read and learn as much as one can to benefit the business!
6) Having the wrong expectations and not launching their business:
Having a sound knowledge of the product and being realistic about goals is extremely important.
7) Listen to people who have no idea of real estate and ignore people who have idea, experience and good results in business: Be careful with who you share your plans with, for sure!
8) Expecting everyone to be a leader. You have to pick your leaders, someone who likes talking to people, solving problems and takes direction. Train your leaders and service the product users, they might get you a referral. Growing your business takes time and effort. It takes hard work to make leaders
9) Thinking they should know too much before they start succeeding : Few things are required for a successful business in real estate. You should know your customers, should have deep knowledge about your product, build marketing skills and have fire in your belly to succeed.
10) Believing more in external motivation instead of internal motivation to succeed: Some new realtors think that without having a car or money that they won’t succeed in real estate. That’s a big lie. Most top achievers in the industry started from ground zero financially and had no car.
11) Expecting quick results: Patience always helps businesses to expand gradually. The twin killer of success is greed and impatience.
12) Underestimating how much it takes to sustain the business, become known and grow. Lack of commitment, creativity and consistency. The business needs constant activity, engagement and fun to get the results you want.

It will help you plan, strategies and stay on course long-term. Without goals it is easy to quit. A detailed action plan and goals mapped on research & market study are a must!
16) They don’t understand numbers. They think everyone they talk to is going to buy properties from them.
17) Thinking it will be easy because they see others succeed without marrying the process: Real Estate is a business of process. Follow the process and don’t reinvent the wheels.
18) Lack of self belief and low self esteem: Thinking you can’t do it will actually cause you to quit early and become a failure. You need strong determination and belief in yourself. Your attitude should be, “if others can do it, I can do it better”
19) Fear of what people will say: This cripples them and make them unproductive in the business. If you keep listening to what people will say, you can’t achieve anything in business or in life. Part of being an entrepreneur is to develop a thick skin especially to family and friends.
20) Not investing on your personal growth: Success does not exceed personal development. The more you work on yourself the more you have knowledge and skill and confidence to succeed. Personal development gives you skill and zeal to seal the deal.
